The Ascendant presented by Blue is one of the largest events in Northern Colorado and the only reoccurring PGA TOUR-associated event in the state. Our tournament began in 2019, previously known then as the TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes, before securing a title sponsor and presenting sponsor in 2022 that changed the name of the event to The Ascendant presented by Blue. This event has quickly become a highlighted event on the Korn Ferry Tour and has won several awards throughout the six years.

The Ascendant presented by Blue has become a premier experience on the Korn Ferry Tour highlighting the Front Range community, creating a family-fun atmosphere, and raising money to give back to the local charities.

Field Size: 156 Player Field, Cut to 65 and Ties after 36 Holes

Purse: $1,000,000 purse with the winner receiving $180,000

This 18-hole championship semi-private golf course was designed by Arthur Schaupeter.  The par 72 golf course plays over 8,000 yards and is the home to the longest Par 5 (hole 13- 773 yards) on any PGA TOUR event.

Giving Back

The tournament is owned and operated by Colorado Golf Charities, Inc, a 501(c)3. In the six years of The Ascendant presented by Blue, we have been able to donate over the event has been able to generate over 500,000 to local charities and hope to continue this great success.
