Volunteer Registration Is Now Open!!

We're excited to announce that volunteer registration for the 2025 event is now open! Come join the fun on July 7 - 13 at TPC Colorado. Thank you to all our 2024 volunteers who made this event so special! Your hard work and dedication over was incredible. We wouldn't have been able to do it without each and every one of you.

The success of our Tournament is measured in the dedication and hard work of our volunteers! In 2023 we were awarded Tournament of the Year from the Korn Ferry Tour, the second time in three years (2021). We share this recognition with the over 700 volunteers who brought our event to life! Over the years our event has expanded, allowing us to give more back and be more present in our community. Volunteers with The Ascendant at presented by Blue are not only part of bringing this signature event to Northern Colorado but helping our efforts of benefiting local charities at the same time.

Junior volunteers must be at least 10 years old to volunteer for The Ascendant presented by Blue Volunteer positions for those aged 10-18 years old include; Standard Bearer, Practice Facility, Junior Programs, Ambassadors, and Volunteer Services. Any volunteers under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. USE CODE 25Kids for the $25.00 package!

The Opportunity to play in one of the designated golf play at TPC Colorado if you work at least 18 hours or four (4) shifts.

We believe that our volunteers are the best on the Korn Ferry Tour and in 2021, they agreed with the honor of Volunteer of the Year going to our very own, Mark Fidrych!

VOLUNTEER FAQS

I want to volunteer for the 2025 event. How do I sign up?

My child wants to volunteer for the event. Do you accept junior volunteers?

How much does it cost to volunteer? What do I receive for volunteering?

Do volunteer’s family members receive any discounted tickets?

What is the time commitment for volunteering? How many hours and shifts would I volunteer?

All volunteers will be required to volunteer a minimum of four shifts each lasting approximately five to six hours. Volunteers are responsible for arriving to their assigned positions on time. The Korn Ferry Tour and tournament staff will conduct training sessions for each committee before the event. Volunteers are expected to attend their training session which will last approximately one hour.

Admissions & Ambassadors: Volunteers will sell and issue daily tickets at main entrance, manage will-call function, and check tickets/credentials at admissions gates. When needed, you will hand out promotional giveaways as spectators arrive. Volunteers also welcome and assist guests and answer questions. This committee is responsible for checking in/out ticket scanners each morning and evening. The committee is mostly shaded but some shifts you may be in the sun.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Tuesday-Sunday).
Caddies Hospitality: This committee is responsible for caddie registration, control access in caddie hospitality and be a recourse if caddies have questions. This committee will mainly be indoors with the occasional outdoor shirt. You will help organize caddies/players if the tournament goes into a weather delay/evacuation.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Monday-Sunday)

Construction/Ecology: This committee will assist in the setup and tear down of the course beginning on Saturday (7/6) to Monday (7/15). This committee is responsible for the maintenance of the trash receptacles and maintaining a professional look throughout the tournament grounds. Volunteers must be willing to get their hands a little dirty and be able to lift up to 40-50 pounds as some set up features require heavy lifting. This committee will include assisting the tournament operations staff to if any signage falls down and the placement of scoreboards.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Saturday Advance (7/6) to Monday After (7/15))

Golf Carts & Shuttles: This committee will be responsible for the control of all on-site cart inventory and distribution of golf carts to authorized personnel. This committee will need to organize check in/out cart keys each morning and evening. There may be some help with staging carts during the pro-ams (Monday & Wednesday).
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Sunday-Sunday).

Junior Programs: This committee will assist with the Junior Clinic (Monday 7/8) as well as other special junior area events during the week. This committee will be positioned near the practice facilities and have fun activities for the children.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Thursday-Sunday).

Marshals: This committee ensure players are not disturbed during play, spot balls, assist with starting tents when necessary, and enforce crowd control and golf etiquette among spectators. This committee does require being in the heat/sun for an extended amount of time (you are welcome to bring umbrellas for shade). This committee requires training that will be held by the Marshal Chairs and Captains at a later day.

On-Course Services: This committee is responsible for stocking and delivering on-course refreshments (via golf cart) to various locations around the course (starting tents, coolers on tee boxes) and distributing pairing sheets to hospitality suites and admission tents. On-Course Services is responsible for the setup for refreshments for the Volunteer Appreciation Party. This committee may require some heavy lifting and will be outside during most of their shift.

Parking: This committee will be responsible for directing cars into the designated parking areas

Partner Hosts & Access Control: The Access Control Committee will assist with checking credentials at key locations around the course. Those with good customer service skills will make good committee members. This committee may be assigned the following duties: controlling access at all hospitality venues on 18 green, 15 green, clubhouse and heroes pavilion, cleaning tables, fixing linens, stocking Pepsi products and trash removal in said venues. Those with good "customer service" skills will make good committee members. (Thursday-Sunday) wrist banding spectators who enter the suites and be a tournament ambassador if suite holders have questions.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Thursday-Sunday)

Player Services: This committee will be responsible for player registration and player services during tournament week. Duties include player registration, greeter, controlling access to player dining, locker room access, ticket handling for players friends and family and be a resource if players have questions during tournament week. This committee is mainly inside.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Monday-Sunday)

Practice Areas: This committee manages the daily operations of the practice facilities including the driving range and chipping areas. Duties include placing appropriate nameplates to identify each player, ball washing/distribution, ensuring balls are being picked up on the driving range and chipping areas aren’t overrun.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Sunday-Sunday)

Pro-am and Special Events: This committee will assist with the Pro-Am and special events. Their responsibilities include but not limited to greeting, registration, distribution of gifts and tear down. (Sunday-Thursday).
Standard Bearers: Committee members are responsible for carrying a two-sided scoring standard, which is a portable status board, and for posting players’ scores to keep spectators informed on how each player stands with respect to par. This committee is considered a “physical” position, so we recommend that you should be in good physical health when volunteering as a standard bearer. Standard Bearers are required to attend training with Volunteer Chairs.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Thursday-Sunday)

Tournament Office: Members of this committee will assist the tournament staff prior to the start and during the event in the tournament office. Duties include but not limited to answering the phone, assisting in pro-am pairings party, creating name plates for players, creating credentials, assist in volunteer uniform pick up, run supplies errands and set up and tear down of the Volunteer Appreciation Party. This committee is mainly inside with some time spent outside.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Advance Week-Sunday).

Transportation/Shuttles: This committee is responsible for transporting players to #10, as well as picking players up who finish at #9. In this committee, cars will be provided for you to drive and members are required to submit a copy of their driver’s licenses to the tournament office prior to first shift. This committee also assists in course evacuation and will be debriefed of procedure.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Monday-Sunday).

Volunteer Services: Volunteers of this committee will aid in check-in at Volunteer Headquarters (VHQ) and help to maintain a hospitable and welcoming environment for our volunteers in VHQ. They will also assist with volunteer training in advance of tournament week, help tournament office volunteers, assist in directing volunteers to their committee location and the sale of tournament merchandise.
- Days this committee works during tournament week: (Monday-Sunday).

Scorers: This committee records accurate hole-by-hole information for each player in their group then transmits this information in real-time via a handheld device while simultaneously communicating with a headset radio. A volunteer must have a thorough knowledge of golf, be comfortable working with handheld computers and be able to walk 18 holes of golf regardless of the weather. This committee is considered a “physical” position, so we recommend that you should be in good physical health when volunteering as a scorer. Scorers are required to attend training with Korn Ferry staff.
- All scorers are required to work Thursday and Friday along with a Saturday or Sunday for a total of three shifts minimum.
